Abstract

1,162,105. Winding stators. ELEKTROMAT VEB. 8 Dec., 1966, No. 54903/66. Headings B3A and B3E. A device for a stator winding machine for moving a stator to various winding positions during winding comprises rotatable take-up means 1 for the stator, a rotatable ring 2 coaxially mounted therewith, the means 1 and the ring 2 being secured to one another by resilient means 8, the take-up means 1 co-operating with a stop 12 so that when it is locked thereby, the resilient means 8 is stressed, the take-up means being pivoted to the next winding position by the means 8 when the stop is released as the winding arm is momentarily stationary at the limit of its travel. The take-up means 1 is held against rotation by an electro-magnetically held stop 14 which engages in recesses 13 adjacent the stops 12. While the means 1 is thus held the ring 2 is rotated by a motor 7 via a gear 6 which engages teeth 4 on the ring 2 therby loading the springs of the means 8. As the ring 2 rotates following release of the stop 14, the stop follows the course of a groove 11 until it enters the next recess 13. In a device where the winding arm performs only a reciprocating motion, the necessary rotational motion is performed by the take-up means 1. In this case the ring 2 and motor 7 move together.
