Abstract

1491700 Brush gear in dynamo-electric machines MABUCHI MOTOR KK 19 Dec 1974 [28 Dec 1973] 55076/74 Heading H2A The brushes of a D.C. electric motor may be angularly shifted to change the commutating position by altering the relative angular positions of the motor casing 1 and a lid 2 for the casing. The lid 2 carries the brushes 5, Fig. 2 (not shown), and, as shown, has a projection 22 engagable in any one of three notches 12, 13, 14 in the casing 1. Notch 12 corresponds to the magnetic neutral axis of the stator and notches 13 and 14 to preselected commutating positions for the two directions of rotation.
