Abstract

1368125 Dynamo-electric machines CROUZET SA 19 Nov 1971 [24 Nov 1970] 53725/71 Heading H2A In a device for ensuring unidirectional rotation of a single phase synchronous motor, comprising a cam 3 including a pawl 3b arranged to co-operate with teeth in the rotor 2 and having an aperture 3a through which passes the rotor shaft 1, a resilient member 5 ensures frictional engagement between the shaft and an edge of the aperture. The cam is pivoted about an axle 4 constituting a fixed axis, the axle being located in a groove 3c in the cam and the resilient member is a metal ring disposed around the axle and a pin 3d on the cam. On starting the motor, the cam is driven by the shaft to one extreme position or the other, depending on the direction of rotor rotation, as determined by the length of the aperture 3a.
