Abstract
1,162,076. Disposable head-dress. CELLUCAP MFG. CO. 30 April, 1968, No. 20504/68. Heading A3V. A disposable head-dress 20, Fig. 1, comprises a crown portion 21 and elasticated edges 23, 24, the crown portion being formed as a stack of pleats 25, Fig. 9, which are narrow compared with their length, and elastic cords 24 attached to each edge in a stretched condition and secured at each end of the stack by staples 37. A peak 22 is preferably secured to one edge and this peak has a score line 40 enabling it to be raised, Fig. 1. The fabric may be paper or cloth or a plastics material if the head-dress is used as a shower cap. The head-dress is made from a continuous web of material by pleating, securing stretched elastic cord to the edges of the outermost pleats, securing the cords and pleats together at predetermined intervals and then severing from the web to give a head-dress as above.
