Abstract

1,161,172. Display carton. BOXFOLDIA Ltd. 23 May, 1967 [15 June, 1966], No. 23797/67. Divided out of 26600/66. Heading B8P. A wall of a carton has a display element 15 which before opening and erecting is formed integrally with the remainder 16 of the wall and is separable therefrom by virtue of a zone defined by a score line 22 in the inside surface and a score line 21 in the outside surface, the lines 21, 22 partially penetrating the wall, e.g. to half depth. Thus after opening, matching lips 22a and (21a) are formed, see also Fig. 1 (not shown). The display panel 15 may have a further display panel 23 formed integrally with it and separable along a similar zone (26), Fig. 3 (not shown). A method of forming the carton blank is described, comprising rollers and dies, the blank being inverted to obtain the score line on the other side.
