1,160,733. Spinning yarns. ALGEMENE KUNSTZIJDE UNIE N.V. 19 Aug., 1966 [20 Aug., 1965], No. 37337/66. Addition to 1,127,164. Headings D1F and D1W. In apparatus as described in the parent Specification for interlacing a bundle of continuous filaments to form a yarn or strand or to join the ends thereof by subjecting the filaments to the action of a turbulent gas e.g. air, stream, manual movement of one of the members and the slit between their operating and open (thread-inserting) relative positions operates a gas closure member e.g. a nozzle or a pin, to ensure that, in the latter position, the gas supply is cut-off or largely diminished.
