Abstract

1,159,951. Securing pallets to vehicle floors. HAWKER SIDDELEY AVIATION Ltd. 11 Aug., 1966 [11 May, 1965], No. 19888/65. Heading B8E. [Also in Division E2] Pallets 11 having channels 13, 14 in their metal edge frames for fastening the load to the pallet and the pallet to the floor of a vehicle, such as an aircraft, respectively are secured by anchorage members 23 mounted on short beams 21 detachably fastened to the rails 18 on the vehicle floor. The beams 21 have bolts 35 which are engaged with key-hole slots 20 in the beams and locked in position by spring bolts 40. The anchorage member 23 can be slid into channels in the beam 21 to be locked in position by a plunger 29 entering a hole 30 under spring pressure. The plunger can be released by a cam lever.
