Abstract

1,158,321. Lamp fittings. LINOLITE Ltd. 25 Aug., 1966 [31 May, 1965], No. 23089/65. Heading F4R. A fitting for fluorescent lamp tubes comprises a reflector formed with a longitudinal groove and at least two tube holders slidable in the groove. The reflector has two perpendicular arms 2, 4, the lower edge of the arm 2 being turned up at 6 to form the groove 8, and each tube holder 10 is retained in its correct position by a clip 16 embracing the holder and formed with a tongue 18 engaging a slot 20 (not shown) in the wall 6. The slot allows sufficient longitudinal movement of the holder for engagement with the tube. One side of each clip has the same length as the slot so that movement of a holder can be prevented by engaging this side in the slot. One or more of the holders may be double-ended to receive a second tube or a starter switch unit.
