Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A light diffusing panel C is detachably secured to the frame A of a lighting fitting by at least one pair of arms 41, 42 pivoted on a pin 44 attached to the panel and biased to diverge from one another. Preferably the arms are integrally formed from a length of spring wire which is coiled to surround the pin. the arms extend through a slot in a bracket 54 secured to the frame, and their tendency to diverge draws the panel upwardly into abutment with a ceiling 11 surrounding the frame. The panel can be removed from the frame by pinching the arms together and withdrawing them from the slot, or can be held in a retracted position in which the hooked ends of the arm engage the ends of the slot.
