Abstract

1,157,729. Feeding fibres to plant for applying fibres to webs. M. BECAGLI. 25 Nov., 1966 [26 Nov., 1965], No. 52764/66. Heading D1L. Fibres stored in a container 16 and fed by a screw worm 17 to an outlet 16a pass into the mouth 19a of a blower 19 and, after passing through the tortuous path defined between two sets of vanes of which one set is rotating, are urged by a fan 19c through a passage 20 into the upper part of a hood 4 under which an adhesively coated web of material is continually advanced. The upper end 20a of passage 20 is angularly oscillatable around a vertical axis to distribute the fibres uniformly over the hood interior.
