A crane is detachably secured to a vehicle by a supporting member 1 provided with arms 2, 2<SP>1</SP> which enter sockets 3, 3<SP>1</SP> secured to the rear of the vehicle. The crane is mounted on the member 1 and has adjustable supporting legs which are used to align the arms 2, 2<SP>1</SP> with the sockets 3, 3<SP>1</SP> so that the vehicle can be backed on to the stand. The arms are locked in position by a spring-urged pin of a locking device 5 entering a hole 4. Over insertion is prevented by stops 6, 6<SP>1</SP>.
