Abstract

115,572. Marchant, Ltd., G. M., and Marchant, J. Sept. 19, 1917. Closure members, rotary conical.-A plug cock of the kind provided with a steam jacket a<1> and particularly applicable for use with coking ovens, tar distillation, or dehydration or like plants, is fitted with a screw d for easing the plug off its seat. The screw d has a rounded end adapted to engage a conical depression in the bottom of the plug b, and is adapted to screw through a boss a<2> connecting the inner and outer jacket casings. The screw is secured by a lock-nut c, and the hole through the boss is enlarged at its outer end.
