A high frequency amplifier includes : a resonant circuit 1 comprising an inner conductor 3, and an outer conductor 2 which is provided with a slot 6 which serves as a neutralizing inductance; and a neutralizing capacitance 7 connected between the slot and the amplifying element 9. In order to adjust the neutralizing the capacitance 7 and the size of the slot 6 may be variable. The resonant circuit may also include a resonant capacitor 4.
