Abstract

In a scent spray having a body 1 divided by a transverse partition 2, the upper part of which constitutes a cylinder in which is a piston formed by an operating member 3 and a cup washer 4, the member 3 carrying a piston rod 6 which extends through a bore in partition 2 and is normally urged by spring 8 to a closing position, and a housing member 9 containing an absorbent pad 11 through which scent from the lower part and air from the cylinder may be expelled through orifice 20; the absorbent ,pad is contained in a recess in the housing closed by a disc 13 and the piston rod has its diameter reduced over part of its length, is formed with a slot or has at least one flat to provide a path for the scent through the disc to the pad during part of the movement of the piston. A valve 7 may be provided to prevent loss of scent before use.
