Spring devices.-In a shock-absorbing device for motor-cycles and like vehicles wherein a frame f carrying the rear wheel is pivoted at g to a rigid part of the vehicle in front of the wheel, and is controlled by horizontal laminated springs a, which are disposed below the horizontal plane containing the wheel axle and have one of their ends fixed to the vehicle adjacent the wheel-frame pivot and their other ends connected by links c to the wheel frame, the connexion l of these links to the frame f is arranged to be adjustable to suit varying road conditions and weights of riders, and tubes or stays h provide an additional connexion of the pivot to the main frame.
