Abstract

1,154,478. Securing wall panels. C. F. E. Inc. 14 Oct., 1966 [15 Oct., 1965], No. 45918/66. Headings E1W and E2B. A flat metal clip for connecting adjacent wall panel edges together and to the supporting framework is of H-section and has bifurcated flanges 34b and 36b on one side by which it is connected to an angle-sectioned stud member 14 forming one boom of a lattice stud 12, the other angle-sectioned stud member being connected thereto by a sinuous rod 16. The flange of the clip may all have diverging end portions (e.g. 46a), as shown, or only those furthest away from the studding, the main body portions of these outside flanges in either instance converging slightly on the inside flanges towards their ends. The limbs 62b and 60b may be co-planar with the flanges 34b and 36b, as shown, or may have 'terminal flanges 17b and 161b (Fig. 9, not shown) which butt up against the flange 14b of the stud member 14.
