Abstract

731,313. Floodbanks &c. ROWBOTTOM, F. W. June 4, 1954 [March 4, 1953], No. 5970/53. Class 68(2). A permanent floodbank, sea wall or the like comprises a base 2 of indefinite length and a front wall 3 coextensvie therewith and extending upwardly from one edge at an angle not greater than a right angle and preferably not greater than sixty degrees, with transverse joints 5 dividing the structure into a plurality of sections. The base and front wall may be cast as units, or the base may be cast in situ and then the front wall may be added by casting in situ or by assembling a number of prefabricated wall units on the base. Specifications 600,583 and 634,047 are referred to.
