1,154,384. Photopolymerizable materials. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. Oct.4, 1966 [Oct. 5, 1965], No.44194/66. Heading G2C. [Also in Division C3] A photopolymerizable material comprising 90 to 30% by weight of a synthetic, linear polyamide, 10 to 70% by weight of at least one monomer having at least two polymerizable double bonds, 5 to 50% by weight based on total monomer of N- methylol-acrylamide and/or N-methylolmethacrylamide and optionally a photo-initiator and/or thermal polymerization inhibitor is imagewise exposed and developed by removing the unexposed areas to produce a printing plate. In the example, a copolyamide of hexamethylene diammonium adipate, the adipic acid salt of diaminodicyclohexylmethane and epsilon-caprolactam, hexamethylene-bisacrylamide, methylene bisacrylamide and triallyl cyanurate as monomers, N-methylolacrylamide, benzoin methyl ether and hydroquinone are dissolved in methanol and moulded into a sheet. The sheet is imagewise exposed, stuck to an aluminium backing and developed with a benzene/methanol/water mixture.
