Abstract
1,154,225. Rectifying. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 19 Aug., 1966 [19 Aug., 1965], No. 37230/66. Heading H2F. [Also in Division G2] An A.C. corona current from an electrode 6 is rectified by passing it through a grid 14 which is earthed through a rectifier. The rectifier may be a diode 18 (Fig. 1), or a coating of unsensitized zinc oxide in a resin binder on the grid (Fig. 2, not shown). Alternatively the grid may be connected through a thyristor. A D.C. bias may be put on the grid. The invention may be used in electrophotography or in a dust trap in an air conditioning unit.
