Abstract

1,040,264. Converting. RANK XEROX Ltd. Jan. 2, 1964 [Jan. 4, 1963], No. 230/64. Heading H2F. A biased alternating voltage is derived from a circuit comprising a constant voltage transformer T having a tapping TS-5 connected to earth and a tapping TS-1 connected to an output terminal T through a capacitor C-1, this capacitor being charged through a rectifier SR-1 connected to a third tapping TS-3, so that the output at T is a waveform which varies about a mean direct voltage level. A second identical waveform is obtained at terminal C and a negatively biased waveform is obtained from a similar circuit TS-2, TS-4, SR-2, R-2 at - PC. A current limiting resistor R2 is included in this circuit. A simpler arrangement (Fig, 4, not shown), which does not include a constant voltage transformer is disclosed.
