Abstract

1,153,397. Ventilators. HENRY HOPE & SONS Ltd. 13 March, 1967, No. 11626/67. Heading F4V. An adjustable louvre comprises a plurality of substantially S-shaped blades arranged in a first set of fixed parallel blades 12 and a second set of which alternate blades 13 are fixed and coact with alternate blades of the first set to form fixed Y-shaped partitions, the remaining blades 14 being pivoted on spaced parallel axes, and being coupled together for movement between open positions in which they coact with alternate blades of the first set to form further Y-shaped partitions between the fixed Y-shaped partitions, and closed positions (Fig. 2, not shown), in which they coact with the fixed blades 13 to close the louvre. As shown, all the blades extend vertically between a cill 11 and a transom. The outer set of blades 12 overlap whilst blades 14 mounted on pivots 15 are controlled by a horizontal rod 18. A bade 19 secured to side wall 10 of the louvre frame co-operates with the adjacent blade 14 when the louvre is closed.
