Abstract

1,153,106. Screw conveyer. INDUSTRIE - TECHNIK ERICH A. HINDERMANN G.m.b.H. 8 Sept., 1967 [21 Sept., 1966], No. 41093/67. Heading B8A. Chemicals are discharged from hopper 4 down outlet 5 by conveyer screw 2, which is formed as a helix wire carried by disc 12 rotatably mounted around stationary rod 3 and is driven by motor 6 via clutch 13 and worm 14-18. Shaft 15 is slidably mounted so that when the screw is overloaded the shaft 15 moves against springs 16 to break clutch 13 and stop the motor. Tube 1 is flexible and rod 3 may be of polyethylene so that the conveyer may be bent in use.
