Abstract

1,152,604. Nursing tent VICKERS Ltd. 14 Feb., 1968 [16 Feb., 1967], No. 7446/67. Heading A5R. A collapsible nursing tent comprises a frame 2 composed of four. corner uprights 3A-D: connected by a four-sided upper frame 4 and a three-sided lower frame 5 arranged to rest on the floor around a bed 1 supporting an airtight chamber with base 6, side walls 7 and 8, end walls 9 and roof 10 of flexible sheet material, e.g. clear P.V.C. The side wall 8 is of dished form with marginal extensions 11 and a sealable access opening 14 and is supported by an upper and a lower arm 12 which may be swung from the position shown in continuous lines to that shown by the dotted lines so that the side wall 8 bellies outwardly or inwardly, thus varying the internal volume of the tent. Preferably the arms are biased, e.g. by a spring, to the "inward" position but will swing to the "outward" position on application of a slight overpressure in the tent. The tent also comprises an air inlet 13 and air locks 15 with sealable openings 16 and 17.
