Abstract
1,151,496. Barium titanate dielectric. GLOBE UNION Inc. 20 June, 1966 [27 Sept., 1965], No. 27451/66. Heading C1J. [Also in Division H1] A ceramic dielectric having a substantially constant dielectric constant over the temperature range - 55‹ C. to +125‹ C. consists of BaTiO 3 , a substance which tends to increase the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant (positive additive) and a substance which tends to decrease the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant (negative additive). The positive additive may be ZnO, MgO or both. The negative additive may have the formula n(A x C y B 2 O 9 ), where A=Sb, Bi, Ba, Sr, Ca, Pb, Na, K and/or Cd; B = Ti, Nb, Ta, Zr and/or Sn; C = Sb and/or Bi; n is an integer and x + y = 3. The total amount of positive and negative additives may be from 0À75 to 55% by weight of the dielectric.
