[Also in Division G3] An electrically-actuated servo valve, suitable for controlling a main slide valve, comprises a vane 1 connected at 2 to an armature and supported by diaphragm 3 so as to be movable relative to nozzles 5 supplied at 6. The diaphragm is clamped adjacent its inner periphery between annular surfaces 11, 12, the latter surface being formed on a disc 8 held in place by nut 9. Adjacent its outer periphery the diaphragm is clamped between annular surfaces 15, 16 formed on annular members 13, 14, respectively. A threaded ring 10 retains the assembly and bears on annular surface 17 formed on the rear of member 14. The centre circle of surface 17 is of less radius than that of surface 16 by the distance a.
