1,150,369. Fire-resistant seals. ROLLSROYCE Ltd. 27 Oct., 1967, No. 49008/67. Heading A5A. [Also in Divisions, F2 and H2] A fire and fume-resistant seal 10 for an aperture 14 in a partition 15 comprises a cylindrical housing 11 in two identical parts 11 a, 11b having radially extending flanges 12 for attachment to the partition, said housing having disposed therein a sealing member 18 sandwiched between two further sealing members 19a, 19b. The housing may be metal, the (fume seal 18 silicoine rubber, and the seals 19a, 19b, fire-resistant material. The seal may be used in the bulkhead of a gas turbine engine.
