Abstract

1,149,732. Standing wires and fibres. CENTRALNE BIURO KONTRUKCJI KABLOWYCH PRZEDSIEBIORSTWO PANSTWOWE. 2 June, 1966 [3 June, 1965], No. 24645/66. Heading D1T. Wires or fibres are stranded by passing them from delivery spools "C", over guide rollers 2, 3, 4 mounted in rotating double twisting frame 8, through traverse 5 and then winding the double twisted line onto the twister drum 6. The line is then unwound from drum 6 and passed over rollers 4, 3 and 2 where it is double twisted again, passed through traverse 9 and wound onto drum 10. The twist pitch of the wires during the first winding onto drum 6 depends on the state of filling up of this drum since it is driven at constant speed. However the drums 6 and 1 are constructed to have the same dimensions and are driven at the same constant rotational speed and thus the quadruply twisted line has a constant twist pitch along its entire length.
