1,149,232. Recording blood pressure. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 31 May, 1966 [4 March, 1965], No. 9257/65. Heading A5K. [Also in Division G1] In a device for use in obtaining a continuous pressure reading, such as blood pressure, a chamber 13, having pressure sensitive wall 21, is connected to the pressure source to be measured by an inlet 16 and a second chamber 22 is corrected via an inlet to a compressed gas source and a sphygmomanometer and the wall 21 serves as part of a valve to control communicatiion between the inlet 17 and an outlet 18 so that the pressure existing in the chamber 22 will provide an indication of the pressure in chamber 13. The chamber 13 is provided with a sealable inlet 24 for the admission of an heparanize fluid. An embodiment is described for enabling low blood pressure to be measured at low gas flow rates.
