[Also in Division G6] A grab for use in a nuclear reactor for handling fuel elements 54 with an external lip 54a and also for handling control rod guide tubes 53 having an internal lip 53a comprises a housing 378 pivotally supporting at 398 three fuel element engaging arms 396 and pivotally supporting at 399 three control rod guide tube engaging arms 397. The arms 396, 397 have non-linear slots 403, 407, respectively, receiving pins 395, 394 carried by a slidable block 393 connected to an actuator element 392. Thus when the block 393 moves downwards relatively to the housing 378 the arms 396 are opened and the arms 397 are closed, upward movement of the block reversing these operations.
