Abstract

1,147,916. Trunks. E. HAMANN. 16 Jan., 1968 [20 Feb., 1967], No. 2276/68. Heading B8P. A trunk or like container comprises a first frame 1 for receiving the lateral edges 3 of the bottom wall 4 of the trunk and having grooves 5 for receiving the lower edges 6 of the lateral walls 7 of the trunk, a second frame 10 having grooves 9 for receiving the upper edges 8 of the lateral walls 7 of the trunk and a third frame 12 having grooves 13 for receiving the lateral edges 14 of the lid 11 of the trunk and having limbs 16 extending away from the plane of the lid to constitute lateral walls for the lid. As shown, the limbs 16 have grooves 22 for receiving a gasket 23 and the second frame includes an extension 24 for engaging in the grooves when the trunk is closed.
