Abstract

1,147,276. Mounting vehicle windows. AUTOMOBILES M. BERLIET. 26 Oct., 1967, No. 48778/67 Heading E1J. A frame made up from extruded members 13, 14 of light aluminium alloy and having on the external side of the vehicle a flange 9 with sharp or rectangular corners and on the internal side a flange 7a with rounded corners on the extreme edges of the flange, is mounted to cover the rectangular aperture 2 in the car body 1 by means of a border frame 3, e.g. of channel section with its mouth facing inwardly and having rounded corners and mounting the flange 7, 7a by means of a plastics material mounting strip 8, with filler strip 9, in the border frame 3. The frame 7, 7a, has a groove 11 which accommodates a weather &c., excluding strip to contact the inner surface of the border frame 3.
