1,146,451. Clips. PATENTBAND A.S. 28 June, 1967 [30 June, 1966], No. 29743/ 67. Heading E2B. A clip comprises a metallic, planar body 1 having at least four lugs 2, 3 extending from its edges. The clip may be used to secure two overlapping ends of the same or different apertured, flexible bands, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). Before using the clip, the lugs 2, 3 are either perpendicular to the body 1 or inclined slightly towards the centre of the body. The lugs 3 are bent over the edges of the overlapping band ends and lugs 2 are inserted through the apertures in the bands before being bent to secure the ends. More than one pair of lugs 3 may be provided and the body may be formed with one or more apertures 4.
