Abstract

1,145,204. Acceleration switches. C.B. ASSOCIATES Ltd. 7 June, 1967 [10 June, 1966], No. 26100/66. Heading H1N. An inertia switch responsive to acceleration has a magnetic sphere or cylinder 5 held in a seat 4 by a magnet 3 and which, on acceleration sufficient to overcome the magnetic attraction, strikes a peg 6 which subsequently moves outwardly to break contacts 7, 8, (Fig. 2). The contacts are reset by depressing peg 6. If the switch is inclined or inverted, peg 10 also returns the ball to its seating. The switch may be normally open (Fig. 3). The assembly 2, 3 is a snap fit in resilient casing 1.
