One or more of the surfaces of the panes 1, 2 of a multi-glaze unit is/are provided with an infra-red reflecting layer 4 of tin dioxide or indium oxide, and the space 5 between the panes may be filled with dried air or with crypton gas of thermal conductivity less than that of air. The layers may be on one pane only as shown, on the internal faces of both panes, or on the internal face or external face of one pane only.
