[Also in Division H1] A hook stick for H.T. disconnecting switches (see Division H1) comprises an insulator tube 1, whose upper end carries a switch hook 2 having a switching arm 3. The insulator tube 1 has insulator fins 7 and a fluorescent glowlamp 4 visible through a lateral aperture 5 or through cap 6 at the lower end of the tube 1, the cap being of transparent synthetic thermoplastic material and formed as a magnifying glass, lamp 4 is used to detect a voltage in the H.T. line, to test the rails of electric traction installations for the presence of current, for testing electric fuses or also for the phase-testing of polyphase A. C.
