Abstract

1,142,432. Feeding sheets. HARRISINTERTYPE CORP. 11 Jan., 1967 [27 Jan., 1966], No. 1443/67. Heading B6B. A stack of sheets on a skid 12 is supported on a hoist for keeping the top of the stack at a constant level as sheets are fed from the top of the stack, and the skid rests by legs 86 on two separate support plates 16a, 16b, which are individually urgeable towards a front guide plate 14 by air cylinder devices 62, so that when a new stack is placed on the skid, it can be moved into contact with the guide plate and angularly adjusted so as to be parallel thereto. By means of a handle 73, the framework 17 carrying the plates 16a, 16b can be adjusted parallel to the guide plate.
