1,142,180. Toothbrush holder. A. M. LINDQUIST. 24 Jan., 1968, No. 3709/68. Headings A4B and A4V. A toothbrush holder 10 is formed from an initially flat strip 11 of thin, stiff but springy material (e.g. vinyl or other flexible plastics), the strip being bendable transversely at a line 12a between notches 12, to provide a platform portion 13 with an aperture 14, and a back portion 15; the outer face of this back portion has a layer of pressure adhesive 16 with a temporary wax-paper cover 17. For use, the strip, which in the flat state may be carried on the person (e.g. in a wallet or purse) is manually bent through 90 degrees at the line 12a, and the cover 17 is peeled off so that the back portion 15 may be stuck by its adhesive layer to any suitable vertical surface 19, to provide a toothbrush holder supporting the brush by its head when the handle has been passed downwardly through the aperture 14. In an alternative form, the aperture opens via a slot, through the adjacent edge of the strip; by edgewise insertion of the neck of the brush, the slot sides are temporarily deformed so that the brush may be admitted to the aperture.
