Abstract

1,141,810. Packaging suppositories. STERLING-WINTHROP GROUP Ltd. 21 Oct., 1966 [22 Oct., 1965], No. 44819/65. Heading B8C. [Also in Division A5. To facilitate application without direct handling, suppositories are sealed between opposed sheets with an unsealed area 2b enabling peeling back of the sheets from the contents to expose part of it and permit its application while handling only the wrapping. The sheets may be of plastics or a water-soluble material, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol and be lacquered on the facing surfaces with a sealant and humectant whichmay be glycerin or glycerinbased. The packaging may be carried out by enclosing successive suppositories between two webs passing between recessed rollers in known manner. The suppository may be as described in Specification 1,112,371.
