Abstract
1,141,233. Stacking boxes; endless conveyers SKODA OBOROVY PODNIK. 1 Feb., 1967 [2 Feb., 1966], No. 4898/67. Headings B8A and B8C. When a first set of rotary impellers has lifted successive boxes beneath one another to form a stack, a second set of impellers rotate to push the stack against other stacks to form a group. In the form shown, boxes, fed through a trough 5 by a pusher conveyer 2, are lifted by rotating impellers 6, 7, into a vertical shoot 10, the boxes being retained by spring-loaded end flaps 11, 12 at the bottom of the shoot. When the shoot is full, the upper box engages a contact 16 which effects rotation of the second set of impellers 18, 19. During this rotation, pins 18<SP>11</SP>, 19<SP>11</SP>, extending from the impellers, engage the stack and push it horizontally against stacks previously fed.
