Abstract

1515601 Discharging articles from conveyers AMF Inc 16 Sept 1976 [24 Sept 1975] 38401/76 Heading B8A Packs delivered on conveyer belt 2 are discharged upwardly to form a stack by an elevating device having a compound lifting platform, the opposed halves 7 of which after lifting the leading pack are moved outwardly so that their return path does not interfere with the forward feed of the next pack by the belt. The platform halves, forks as shown, are carried on crank discs 4, 5 on respective opposite sides of the centre line of the conveyer belt. As described the top pack of the stack is discharged forwardly by a pair of pushers 14 having a similar motion, in a horizontal plane, to that of the lifting forks 7. The pack is transferred together with a sheet of wrapping material C into a folding matrix 109.
