Abstract

1,141,111. Reciprocating pumps. COOK CHEMICAL CO. Jan. 25, 1967 [Aug. 5, 1966, No. 3647/ 67. Heading F1A. In a manually actuated bucket pump the bucket piston 68 is reciprocated in a sleeve 44 mounted in the pump body 10 and the sleeve carries a peripherally apertured member 46 forming an abutment for a suction valve disc 52. An annular chamber defined between the sleeve 40 and cap 22 communicates with a passage 44, formed by a groove in the pump body, and a passage 34 to provide a path for leakage past the piston 68 back to the container 16. The body 10 may be glued to apertured cap 12 or fixed by a retaining ring over the collar 30. The pump may be moulded from plastics material.
