Abstract

1,140,597. Letter plates. ATLAS FOUNDRY (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. 1 Sept., 1967 [11 Oct., 1966], No. 45352/66. Heading A4T. A letter-plate has a fascia plate 10 formed from a length of extruded section having opposed longitudinal edge channels 20 and from which an insertion slot is cut, a slot closure flap 13 formed from a length of extruded section having a pivot pin channel 16 and a projecting lifting portion, and two brackets 18 of extruded section with portions 22 bent at right angles and each having a groove 23 receiving an end of the pivot pin, the brackets also having rebated portions 21 whereby they fit in the opposed channels and carrying mounting bolts 25.
