Cases, clock.-Levelling or adjusting screws 4 take into a tubular fitting 3, the upper portion of the fitting being internally threaded, extemally tapered, and provided with longitudinal saw-cuts. By screwing down an internally tapered cap 9, the fitting 3 is compressed on to the screw to compensate for wear or to lock it in position.
