Abstract
1,139,595. Pelletizing. ELLIOTT ASSOCIATED DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 2 Dec., 1965 [1 Dec., 1964], No. 51312/65. Divided out of 1,136,901. Heading B5A. [Also in Divisions C1 and C5] Sulphur, pitch or resins are pelletized by solidification of molten globules thereof in water and adding to the water an additive which has the property of inhibiting the coalescence or binding together of the solidifying globules or soft pellets or sticking thereof to the surfaces of the apparatus employed. The additive may be a silicone (preferably added in solution, e.g. in benzene or toluene) and/or polyethylene oxide, polypropylene oxide, polyarylamide polysulphite or sulpho-succinates. Other pelletizing conditions may be as disclosed in the parent Specification.
