Abstract

1,139,439. Fire extinguishing foam apparatus. PYRENE CO., Ltd. 4 Dec., 1967 [8 Nov., 1966], No. 49941/66. Heading A5A. Fire-fighting foam apparatus consists of a foam generator formed in front and rear tubular sections 5, 4 coupled at 8, rear section 4 including jet head 16 and a forcing tube, and front section 5 terminating in nozzle 11. With 4 and 5 coupled, nozzle 11 delivers a ropelike jet of foam. With front section 5 removed hoses may be coupled at 8, or 8 may function as a nozzle to discharge a water spray. The two sections are uncoupled for transport or storage.
