Abstract

1,135,929. Foam discharge apparatus. E. W. BLISS CO. 29 April, 1966, No. 19086/66. Headings B1C and B2F. An apparatus for discharging a spray foam for use in fire-fighting comprises an air tunnel 14 having an inlet 15 and an outlet 16, a plurality of liquid nozzles 54 connected to a supply of foam-producing solution and mounted on condiuts 52 within the tunnel adjacent the outlet 16, a net or sieve 20 covering the outlet 16, and a fan 12 mounted in the tunnel 14 rearwardly of the nozzles 54 and driven by a hydraulically operated motor 40. The motor 40 is driven by the flow of foamproducing solution through a recirculation conduit system including a restriction 75. A grill 60 is located between the fan and the nozzles 54.
