[Also in Divisions B2 and C4] Compounds of the formula where Y is an optionally substituted heterocyclic radical having a 5- or 6-membered ring or is a phenyl radical substituted in the para position to the amide group by CN, SO 2 NH 2 , CO 2 CH 3 , CO 2 C 2 H 5 or SO 2 NHC 6 H 5 are used as pigments in coating compositions. Example 147 describes the preparation of such a composition by ball-milling 40 parts of an n-butylmethacrylate - methacrylic acid interpolymer in about 80 parts of toluene with about 20 parts of 8,13 - dioxodinaphtho - (1,2-2<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP>) - furan- 6-carbox-p-cyanoanilide.
