Abstract

1,137,868. Wall panel joints. MARLEY CONCRETE Ltd. 6 April, 1966 [14 April, 1965], No. 16064/65. Heading E1B. A joint between two concrete wall panels (as shown), or between a wall panel and a door or window frame, comprises an internal drainage channel 13, formed by co-operating grooves 11, and an I-sectioned resilient sealing strip 18. The panels may have co-operating edge flanges 3, 4 bolted together, with a co-operating bead 7 and groove 8 respectively, which define a further channel 9 therebetween, and surfaces 21 and 22 which have mastic caulking injected therebetween. The strip 18 may have an externally ribbed outer flange 20 (Fig. 2, not shown), or a longitudinal external undercut rib 30, (Fig. 3, not shown), over which a decorative strip 31 may be clipped, or may be of V-section (Fig. 4, not shown) with the flanges projecting away from the panels and having undercut edge flanges 27, 28 which are forced into contact with the outer faces of the panels by one or a plurality of rigid or semi-rigid members 29 of segmental section.
