Abstract

1,136,970. Pontoons. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 11 Aug., 1967 [7 Sept., 1966], No. 40034/66. Heading B7A. A pontoon comprises a deck 4 provided with at least one float 1 that has been formed from a plastics material as a closed hollow article by rotational moulding. In the embodiment shown, 2 is a length of supporting timber and each float is held between timbers and deck by a flange 5 integrally moulded around the edge of the top of the float, and through which the deck is bolted to the timber. Separate lengths of deck may be placed end to end as at 6 to form the desired structure.
