[Also in Division E1] Lightweight panels are made by supporting elongate elements 2, e.g. of foamed polystyrene, on rods 4 in a mould, filling the mould with lightweight concrete and withdrawing the rods after the concrete has set. The elements 2 may be strips or bars of annular, semi-circular, triangular or rectangular cross-section and the rods 4 may be steel tubes or plastics material.
